For additional information about Longleaf Sheep Hill Ranch, how we raise sheep and protect them from predators (lots of coyotes in the surrounding woods), the kinds of forages we grow and are interested in, and other things of interest to us around the ranch, please follow this Farm-Info link. The content of the pages reached by this link are a work in progress. We continue to add, modify and remove material as we evolve at the Farm and improve how we tell our story.
We often have beautiful sunsets.
Coming in from the arch barn I saw this double rainbow over the house. Never did find the pot of gold.
I record rainfall on a daily basis.

On Friday afternoon, December 8, 2017, it started snowing, a thick heavy snow that stuck. The sheep needed hay, Whitie is in the hay feeder and Kratos in the foreground.
Saturday morning was clear and cold, the snow was sticking, at least for a while. The steep middle field (on the left) would have been good for sledding. While walking about I noticed this frosty mushroom that had a clear patch of ground underneath it.
